SAN DIEGO – Military members and representatives from nations across the Indo-Pacific and around the world gathered in San Diego this week for the Exercise Rim of the Pacific (RIMPAC) 2026 Initial Planning Conference (IPC).

From the Seas to the Screens: Sailors and Allies Compete in Groundbreaking Navy MWR RIMPAC Esports Event

Recently, Navy MWR hosted the first-ever RIMPAC Esports tournament, which was live streamed on the Navy MWR Twitch channel. The event brought together gamers from the U.S., Germany, Korea, Italy, and Brunei for an epic Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III showdown. 🌍🎮

29th RIMPAC exercise hosting over 29 nations in Hawaii

This year’s exercise includes forces from Australia, Belgium, Brazil, Brunei, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Denmark, Ecuador, France, Germany, India, Indonesia, Israel, Italy, Japan, Malaysia, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Peru, the Republic of Korea, the Republic of the Philippines, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Tonga, the United Kingdom and the United States.

U.S. Pacific Fleet Announces 29th RIMPAC Exercise

SAN DIEGO – Approximately 29 nations, 40 surface ships, 3 submarines, 14 national land forces, over 150 aircraft and more than 25,000 personnel will participate in the biennial Rim of the Pacific (RIMPAC) exercise scheduled June 26 to Aug. 2, in and around the Hawaiian Islands.
