NEW! RIMPAC Open Play Tournaments
RIMPAC Cup games are exclusively for ships/commands who are actively going to be out at sea to participate in the RIMPAC exercise. However, this year, for the first time, local commands will have the opportunity to participate in Open Play tournaments via lottery against partnering countries in a few selected sports!

Open Play Paintball
Location:

Tournament Date(s):
July 1-3, 2026
- Check-in: 0900
- Safety brief: 0930
- Tournament start: 1000
- Tournament ends when all games are completed
Entry fee:
- $125 per team of 5 (includes gear, marker, and 1 box of paint), all teams must pre-register before tournament dates and not the day of the tournament, sign ups at the Hickam Harbor Marina Office.
Tournament Format:
- XBall (point-based competitive paintball)
- 5 players per team
- Objective: Score points by touching the opposing team’s base
- Game Length: The match lasts 15 minutes max
- Breaks: 2-minute break between point rounds
- Win Condition: First team to reach the designated race to score 3 points, or the team
leading when match time expires.
Match Structure
- Matches consist of multiple points played back-to-back.
- Teams reset and reinsert at their start base at the beginning of each point.
- The head referee starts and ends each point.
- If a team reaches the race-to score before time expires, the match ends immediately.
Scoring
- 1 point is awarded when a live player physically returns the flag to the enemy base. If a player is hit before they return the flag to the base the point does not count and the game continues.
- The point ends immediately upon the player returns the flag to the enemies base.
- Eliminated players may not re-enter until the next point
